Vampires and Tomatoes

Week in Review:


1:  Saturday evening and early Sunday were spent deathly ill.  As I lay in bed moaning and groaning I cursed all the tomatoes I had eaten over the weekend.  Damn those tomatoes!  Damn salmonella!  

  Later in the day when I was able to think coherently I realized the lethal combination of red wine and coffee was probably the real culprit behind my sickness.

2:  Worked on HBO's not-yet-aired new show True Blood (as an extra.)  True Blood is about vampires in a small town in Louisiana.  So I got to wear trashy clothes and live like a vampire for a whole week.  All shoots were night shoots and I'm still trying to recuperate from the crazy schedule.  The cast and crew were awesome and I have a feeling it will be a good show.  Plus, it's got Anna Paquin all growed up from her Piano days.

3:  The creator behind True Blood, Alan Ball, is the same guy who brought us Six Feet Under.  After working on TB I was inspired to start watching SFU, and now I'm hooked!

Thank You...

...Michael, Dwight, Jim, Pam, Toby, Angela, Oscar, Stanley and all the other employees of Dunder Mifflin for filling our souls with such happiness and laughter.  It doesn't do enough justice to say that the Cubby and I are HUGE fans of The Office.  At the end of a grueling 12 hour workday we each take our designated spot on couch, bite lower lips, and pump our fists into the air to the beat of the theme song.  Like some extraordinary reflex we do this every single time.  We have earnestly talked about dropping everything to move to Scranton, Pennsylvania, to get jobs at the Dunder Mifflin Paper Company with our friends.  Yes, they are our friends.  


   
  I hate to think what we will do if the show ends.  I guess we will always have the British Office, the German Office, and the French Office to get us through our days!  ;)

So familiar...

  Oh yes, I love this commercial!  And I rarely say that about any commercial.  But, after the 130th time of seeing it it still manages to crack me up!  To all the women in my family...and all the men who sit in cars and wait I give you this.
