  Lately we have been luring friends to our apartment with the promise of doing something fun and exciting for the evening.  Once they have entered we lock the door and force them to play board games with us all night.  Here are some of the unsuspecting victims...

Having fun...or scared?

  Christmas Eve after attending church at 6 p.m. we headed over to Griffith Park to see the Festival of Lights.  It took us two hours to drive thru, but luckily they had Christmas tunes blaring to make us forget that we were sitting in a car forever.  Here is some pictures of our little baby X-mas tree.  And thank you for everyone for the Christmas cards!!!

  The day before Thanksgiving was spent between Tim and I cooking most of the dinner in our teeny tiny apartment.  I took up most of the kitchen and Tim used what he could of the coffee table in the living room!  We ate at Tim's old roommate, Adam, and his girlfriend Winy's place.  The two of them have no idea how to cook and when we tried to reheat things in their oven we realized that they had no pot holders.  Bathroom towels sufficed.

  The menu was as follows:

*  Turkey- thrown on a baking dish by Adam and Tim(...not the most graceful way for a turkey to be cooked)

*  Southwest Chorizo Stuffing-  made by me and super yummy!

*  Mashed Sweet Potatoes- made by Tim with banana, bourbon, and vanilla.  definately the favorite of the evening!

*  veggies-  that only Tim and I seemed to enjoy

*  cranberry sauce-  from the good old can

*  Homemade Apple Pie-  made by Tim who was very proud of it in the end.  His secret ingredient?  super sharp cheddar cheese in the crust.

*  Pumpkin Pecan Pie-  made by moi, basically a pumpkin pie with some pecans thrown on top!  not too hard!!!

  We played board games- boys vs. girls.  Girls won, of course!!!

  But, I'm sad I missed the turkey day in Michigan!  :(  Hopefully next year!
